A couple wishing to get married by law should be aware of these important points about civil marriages:
Any couples wishes to get married in Seychelles may click here for a list of list of wedding planners or call at the Civil Status office at Independence House or may wish to make arrangement through their Local Travel Agent or Hotel and provide the below documents: Foreigner and foreigner
The couple who wish to register their marriage should be present in the Civil Status office If the couple wishes to register their marriage at home, they should inform the Civil Status office at least a week before the marriage takes place.
The banns of marriage should be published for eleven days prior to the date of marriage and in cases that the couple intends to get married before the full publication period, then a marriage licence should be applied, subject to the approval of the Chief Officer of Civil Status. A fee of SR500 is applicable
