This Division is tasked with registering, recording and maintaining vital events in respect of births, deaths and marriages. It processes applications for ‘Change of Name’ and ensure the maintenance of records of Divorce. It has custody of the National Population Database which it endeavours to upkeep and preserve.

The Section prepares and issues Identity Cards to all residents in the country.
